When Wanderforth cookies collect information what happens?
Although there has been a lot of confusion surrounding cookies and the ability to track data and identity, we cannot actually collect any of your personal credentials without you specifically giving them to us. However, we will need such details to ensure your booking is smooth and secure, for example we will require your name, address and the details of the credit or debit card you will be paying with. We will only ever pass your information on to third parties where necessary to complete a booking, aside from this, your information will only be used by us to contact you regarding your holiday.
In certain cases Wanderforth may use your personal details to inform you of offers or news that we feel you may be interested in.
Information collected by browser cookies includes the name of any web page you may have linked to get through to our website; this is for personal data collection only. Please also note that any correspondence with Wanderforth, whether online or on the telephone, may be recorded in order to help us with customer service training and monitoring.
Where is my personal information stored if you collect any?
Any personal information we collect will be stored in our secure holding database at a secure location in order to ensure no unlawful access.
What is a ‘cookie’?
A cookie is a little piece of information sent from a website to your browser before being stored on the hard drive of your computer. However, contrary to popular belief, they cannot track or identify you personally, just your computer IP address.
Cookies also help us build up information on customer usage and any patterns as in this way we can make amendments and adjustments more efficiently according to the correlations we track. They also help us measure your site usage and preferences, meaning we can provide a more personalised service to you based on the patterns we capture. This includes any e-mail marketing we may send you, meaning all offers, information and news will be tailored specifically to you based on your previous preferences.
